Alcohol Awareness Week, Portsmouth

November 17, 2014 at 12:01 PM

Our Switch Portsmouth Team will be at Fratton ASDA on Tuesday 18th November as part of Portsmouth City Council's Liver Roadshow.

We'll be giving advice & information on the effects that alcohol can have on young people and their carers/families. We'll also be showing people what support is available for young people in the City.

Portsmouth Hospital NHS Trust will have a liver screening machine (which is like an ultrasound) - if your liver could potentially be affected by your drinking you will be offered a free liver scan. Privately this would cost upwards of £300!

No need to book - just turn up at ASDA Fratton between 10am and 4pm. This service is provided by Portsmouth Hospital NHS Trust and is completely confidential and free. The scan will only be accurate if you do not drink 24 hours before the roadshow. If you are not able to avoid drinking for 24 hours then please attend the roadshow to find out more about reducing your alcohol use.
