Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Worker

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Family Safeguarding Domestic Abuse Perpetrator worker position. This role will be part of a new Family Safeguarding Approach delivered by Worcestershire Children First (WCF) and in partnership with Cranstoun. It will bring together a team of Substance Misuse, Domestic Abuse and Mental Health practitioners. You will deliver interventions to improve outcomes for children and their parents who are open to WCF. WCF will identify those families who would benefit from the support and refer in, internally.
You will receive Group Supervision from WCF and additional line management from Cranstoun.
As you will work within WCF, you will also be subject to their vetting procedures which includes a new Adult and Child DBS check
As a Perpetrator worker, you will strive to make contact and work on a one-to-one basis with perpetrators to pro-actively secure engagement, influence attitudinal and behavioural change and link to complementary services.
To do this, you will work alongside agencies to design a co-ordinated, intervention plan, addressing identified needs and risks, and promoting understanding of the impact of abusive behaviours.
You will be passionate and committed to working within a multi-disciplinary team and will have a demonstrable track record of working with complex need service users. This may be within the field of domestic abuse, and/or mental health, substance misuse and offending.
