Trustees x 4

Cranstoun is a charity empowering people to rebuild their lives. We make people feel safe and empower them with the tools to create lasting changes, to reduce harm and inspire people to live healthier, safer lives. We stand for social justice and believe everyone is worthy of respect and compassion.

Cranstoun provides services for adults and young people facing difficulties with alcohol and other drugs, domestic abuse, housing and criminal justice. Our skilled and compassionate teams work with individuals, families and communities, helping them to make positive changes. We’ve been making a difference for over 50 years, supporting people to rebuild their lives, inspiring transformation and empowering positive change.

In 2022-23, we worked with over 21,000 people, empowering them to make positive life changes. We have a dynamic, committed team of professionals and a forward-looking culture, recognised by our Investors in People Gold Award.

This is an incredibly exciting time to be part of a forward-thinking, innovative organisation. Following the development of an ambitious new strategy, the Board has worked with Charlie Mack, CEO and his Strategic Leadership Team to deliver Cranstoun’s new vision: to be a world-class leader in rebuilding lives.

We are confident that, as a Board, we are well placed to help support and drive the leadership, management and performance of Cranstoun. To strengthen the Board even further, and support the charity to achieve its new and ambitious strategy, we are looking to welcome other forward thinking individuals.

Having carried out a governance skills audit, we are specifically looking for four new trustees with expertise in the following areas:

  • Finance & Audit
  • Digital
  • Legal
  • HR / People Engagement

To support us with our global vision, international expertise and networks would be an advantage.

Cranstoun is an inclusive employer, committed to promoting equality and diversity in all areas of our work. We actively encourage and welcome interest from a diverse range of candidates, including those with lived and living experience of the challenges that the people who use our services face.

If you share Cranstoun’s values and ethos and would like to be part of our Board, we would love to hear from you.
