About the London Landmarks Half Marathon

Now in its tenth year, LLHM is the only closed-road half marathon running event through Westminster and the City of London. If you miss it, you miss out!

Join 20,000 athletes (and a few furry mascots) on what must be the ultimate London sightseeing tour. You’ll run through historic locations at the centre of British politics, catch your reflection in the glass of iconic skyscrapers, and discover some of the capital’s quirkiest hidden gems along the way.

Experience the heart of government and the bustling financial district as you’ve never seen them before. You’ll take the same streets millions tread every weekday morning – but without commuters, chaos and the constant cacophony of traffic. Instead, you’ll be surrounded by thousands of runners raising millions for good causes, and the loudest noise will be the cheers of spectators and charity volunteers lining every inch of the 13.1-mile course.

We have a limited number of discounted charity places for runners confident of finishing LLHM in under four hours, and committed to meeting (or beating) our £400 fundraising target.

Join Cranstoun for the London Landmarks Half Marathon and we’ll be beside you at every step. You’ll receive one-to-one support throughout your training, a Cranstoun running shirt and exclusive goodies, and our dedicated cheer station will power you to the finish on race day. Most importantly, we’ll keep you connected to the life-changing impact of every penny you raise.

As a thank you for fundraising for us, we’ll cheer you on throughout your training, give you a free running T-shirt for race day, and keep you connected with the impact of your fundraiser.

Your fundraising will directly benefit Cranstoun’s vital charity work. A small portion helps to cover the cost of securing charity places in events like LLHM, ensuring we can offer discounted entry fees and recruit as many runners as we can.

Every remaining penny goes to our frontline services, empowering people to change their lives. For example, donations to your fundraiser could help us provide:

Refuge for survivors and families escaping domestic abuse
Access to housing for people experiencing homelessness
Spaces for children and teens to access information and support
Non‑judgemental support to reduce the harm of substance use
Stronger communities through supporting work to reduce crime

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to enter?

Our charity places in LLHM 2027 cost just £35. This is less than half the standard entry fee of £74.99 – if you are lucky enough to secure a place in the public ballot!

This fee doesn’t cover the full cost of your place, so we ask our runners to commit to a £400 fundraising target. That way, your run doesn’t just get you to the finish line: it helps to deliver life-changing support for people who deserve it.

You’ll also need to pay LLHM a postage fee to receive your race entry pack.

Which landmarks will I run past?

The provisional route for LLHM 2027 takes in some of the UK’s best-known places, including:

Tower Bridge
The Tower of London
The Shard
The Gherkin
The Walkie-Talkie
Trafalgar Square

Just so you know, the final route may change for logistical or safety reasons, so we can’t guarantee you’ll see every landmark above. But, they’re are all part of the provisional route and have featured in previous years. You can expect plenty of photo-worthy moments in iconic locations!

How will Cranstoun allocate its places?

We’re expecting high demand for our London Landmarks Half Marathon places, and only have a limited number available.

We’ll prioritise runners who haven’t taken part in the event before, are connected with or passionate about our work, and confident of raising as much as possible to help people who need and deserve support.

What are the eligibility requirements?

To participate in the London Landmarks Half Marathon, you must be:

At least 17 years old on Sunday 4^th April 2027
Able to finish the run in four hours or less

We’ll share full terms and conditions before you purchase one of our charity places in the event.

Is there a deadline to apply? When will I hear back?

There’s no fixed deadline to apply, but we’ll review applications on a rolling basis. The earlier you apply, the better your chances of securing a place on Team Cranstoun.

We currently expect to allocate places by the end of August 2026. However, as 2027 will be Cranstoun’s first year taking part in LLHM, our timelines may adjust to reflect demand.

Can I still run for Cranstoun if I get a ballot place?

Yes! We’d be delighted to support you to run for our life-changing work, and to thank you for fundraising by giving you a Cranstoun running top.

Can I defer my place if I can no longer take part?

Sadly not – LLHM does not allow entries to roll over to a future event.

If your plans change and you’re unable to take part, please let us know as soon as possible and we’ll try to find another runner to take your place. If that isn’t possible, we may ask you to contribute towards the cost of your place, but we’ll do everything we can to avoid this.

What happens if I don't reach my fundraising target?

We’ll give you plenty of support, ideas and encouragement to help you reach your £400 fundraising target.

If you’ve really tried to fundraise but fall just short of the goal, please don’t worry. We are grateful for every single penny and all your hard work!

If you’re a long way off, and especially if you’re not actively fundraising, we may ask you to cover the difference so we don’t lose money on your place. This is standard practice for many charities and helps make sure events like LLHM are a sustainable source of vital funds.

This will only ever be a last resort. We’d much rather work together to help you raise as many donations as you can.
