Herefordshire Male Victims Service

Cranstoun provides male domestic abuse services across the county of Herefordshire. We are an all-inclusive service for all male residents aged 11+ in Herefordshire experiencing abuse.

Domestic abuse can affect anyone. It is non-discriminatory and here at Cranstoun we understand that each case is unique. Cranstoun delivers the Male Victims Domestic Abuse Service in Herefordshire on behalf of Herefordshire Council.

Cranstoun works with local organisations, each with unique skills and experience in domestic abuse, allowing us to deliver the best support possible for Herefordshire county residents and community.

The service is free and offers practical help, supporting men and boys to manage their lives and wellbeing, including those with poor physical or mental health.

We offer a range of immediate safety and support advice, emotional support, as well as ongoing personalised support in order to assist individuals to increase their safety and improve their health and wellbeing outcomes.

We also deliver workshops in Respectful Relationships to secondary schools and teachers within the region, to aid in the prevention of abusive behaviours and provide support routes for children who may be affected at home.

Our support for men & boys within Herefordshire also includes:

  • Assessments, safety planning, information & advice
  • Access to housing advice, liaison & referral
  • Access to welfare, debts & planning advice
  • Access to education & training services
  • Access to employment services
  • Connection to the community & activities
  • Emotional and wellbeing support
  • Life skills development
  • Access to legal advice
  • Services for the most vulnerable and hard to reach groups

Through our partners we can provide access to:

  • 24-hour support line
  • Emergency refuge
  • Access to dispersed accommodation
  • Specialist services for children & young people
