About Reset

Reset seeks to support children and young people who are experiencing domestic abuse or exhibiting harmful behaviours in their relationships. We aim to address the common challenge professionals face in determining whether young service users are the primary aggressor or a victim/survivor using resistance violence. The programme includes a robust assessment to determine this, which informs the interventions then delivered – either a victims empowerment programme or a programme focused on harmful behaviours (Level Up).

Reset interventions last up to 18 sessions, covering resilience, impulse control, and then the tailored interventions.

Sessions are led by the young person’s needs and can take place at a range of venues including schools, pupil referral units, supported accommodation, youth centres and children’s centres. We also support the primary non-abusive parent or carers.
