Cranstoun to co-deliver Housing First service in Birmingham

Posted on: 8 June, 2020

Cranstoun has been awarded a contract to co-deliver the Housing First service in Birmingham from June 8th. Cranstoun will deliver the service in partnership with Birmingham City Council and other Housing First providers.

The Housing First service supports entrenched rough sleepers in Birmingham to secure, settle into, and sustain their own accommodation. The Housing First model is steered by achieving the housing goal ‘first’ as a matter of right, and views secure housing as a stable platform from which other issues can be addressed.

Sam Mountford, Service Manager at Cranstoun, said: “We are delighted to be joining the Housing First project in Birmingham. We’re excited to work with Birmingham City Council and co-providers to support our most vulnerable citizens to make positive, sustained changes as we believe everyone should have the opportunity to live healthy, safe and happy lives.”
