Your Miles, Their Milestones

Every day, we’re privileged to stand beside people fighting to change their lives. Real people are putting their past behind them, challenging the stigmas in their present, and taking step after difficult step towards a safer, healthier and better future. Just like a long run, small milestones add up to an incredible result.

No matter how cold, complicated or cruel it might seem, a person’s world can change with the right support at the right time. Support like Shantelle, one of our amazing team in Birmingham, who prevents homelessness by supporting vulnerable adults into safe and secure housing.

Cranstoun will always be there when we are needed most.

When you fundraise with Team Cranstoun, you’re there with us, helping to make change happen.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sign up for an event?

Chevron arrow

Choose your event from the list above and follow the registration link. Once you’ve completed the form, you’ll receive an automatic confirmation of your entry, and then very soon our fundraising team will be in touch to welcome you to the team.

How do I create a fundraising page?

Chevron arrow

It takes less than a minute to create your fundraising page via our website. Follow this link, add a snappy title and a photo, set your goal amount and finally confirm your details. That’s it!

Don’t forget to share your unique fundraising page link with friends, family, loved ones, people who owe you a favour, the milkman, and anyone else you’d like to sponsor you!

Is there a minimum fundraising target?

Chevron arrow

Each event has a suggested fundraising target to help meet the costs of your entry and, most importantly, plan and deliver our life-changing services.

Your target is designed to be achievable, and we’d be delighted if you can beat it! By becoming part of Team Cranstoun, we’ll be in it with you, supporting you all the way with tips, resources and social media shout-outs.

What if I don’t reach my fundraising target?

Chevron arrow

We know times are tough and just ask that you do your best. We do reserve the right to cancel entries, but this would only be in the most extreme cases, such as when it’s obvious someone has bought a discounted entry but done absolutely no fundraising at all.

So long as you make an active effort to raise money, we’ll work with you to help you get as close as possible to your target, with no penalty if you fall short. Your participation, support and kindness still makes a valued difference.

How do you use donations?

Chevron arrow

Your fundraising directly supports Cranstoun’s work with people affected by domestic abuse, homelessness, substance use and other social justice issues. A small portion of your donations helps cover the cost of securing charity places in running events – this ensures we can offer discounted entry fees and maximise the number of people who take part.

Every remaining penny goes to our frontline services, helping people stay safe, build resilience and transform their lives.

What’s included with a charity place?

Chevron arrow

You’ll get discounted entry to your chosen event, access to our fundraising resources, and plenty of encouragement from Team Cranstoun along the way. Plus, you’ll receive a free running T-shirt to wear on event day, and a sleek eco-friendly wooden medal once you’ve finished.

Are charity places refundable or transferable?

Chevron arrow

Unfortunately, our charity places are non‑refundable as your fee contributes to the costs involved with registering your entry. Transfers depend on the event organiser’s policy. If your circumstances change, contact us as early as possible and we’ll do our best to help.

Can I fundraise offline as well as online?

Chevron arrow

Of course. You can collect donations in any way that suits you. We’ll provide guidance on how to safely and legally collect offline donations and add them to your total.

Can I take part with my friends, family or colleagues?

Chevron arrow

Yes! Many events offer multiple distances to suit different levels of fitness, and team entries are very welcome. You can raise money together or as individuals, and we’re happy to help you organise a team fundraising page for your group or workplace.

Is there an age limit to take part?

Chevron arrow

Age limits vary depending on the event and distance. Please check the specific event details page or, if you’re still unsure, get in touch using our contact form.
