Cranstoun has launched a new programme for its staff to empower people from Black and Racialised communities to lead right across the charity.
Working in partnership with Meena Kumari of H.O.P.E Training and Dr Olumide Adisa will see Cranstoun pilot the safe spaces wheel and deliver a leadership programme for team members.
The transformative 12-week programme has been designed to support team members in building key skills, knowledge and confidence within leadership and help create safer and more inclusive spaces for culturally diverse leadership to thrive within Cranstoun.
Kim Coles, People and Culture Director for Cranstoun said: “As part of our Inclusion plans, Cranstoun are investing in these initiatives to build leadership confidence and create safer spaces for our team members from Black and Racialised communities.
“This work is incredibly important for us to learn and continually improve the experience of all our stakeholders whilst championing our staff, their experiences and expertise.
“We work with, and support, people and communities right across the country, and by investing in our teams, and working with experts to deliver this bespoke training we can make sure that we are best able to serve the people who come to us for support.”
Meena Kumari from H.O.P.E Training said: “At H.O.P.E Training, we are deeply passionate about delivering leadership development for Black and Racialised communities.
“We are thrilled to be working alongside Dr. Olumide Adisa and Cranston to ensure staff receive the best opportunities in leadership through our co-designed safe spaces framework, which creates an enhanced environment where individuals can grow, learn, and thrive”.
Dr Olumide Adisa said: “Over the last few months, I have been deeply inspired by Cranstoun’s dedication and commitment to uplifting equity, diversity, and inclusion through culturally responsive leadership development.
“It is a privilege to stand alongside H.O.P.E and Cranstoun in this work, co-creating spaces where every individual feels seen, supported, and empowered to lead authentically.
